The QR scanner will not open

The message

"Camera access is off. Enable it in Settings, or enter the code manually."

Fixing it

• iPhone — Settings › Bravo+ › Camera, on
• Android — Settings › Apps › Bravo+ › Permissions › Camera, allow

Then reopen the scanner.

The fallback

Enter code manually is on the same screen and reaches exactly the same place. When someone is standing in front of you at registration, use it rather than walking them through device settings.

If the camera opens but nothing scans

• "That's not a valid team code" means it scanned something that is not a Bravo+ code
• A QR on a phone screen under gym lights often will not scan; print it or raise the brightness
• "Couldn't start the camera" usually means another app has the camera. Close it.
