Reactions and comments
How families engage, and how to encourage it.
OperatorsParents react to posts and leave comments of up to 500 characters. Both are visible to everyone in the post's audience.
Why engagement matters
A post with comments is a post other parents read. A feed where families talk to each other is a club they feel part of, which is most of what stops them leaving in February.
Getting it started
- Reply to comments — a feed where the club never answers goes quiet fast
- Ask an actual question at the end of a post
- Post photos that include lots of children; families comment on posts their child is in
- Thank people by name in comments
Moderating
Comments follow your club's norms and you can remove them. See Removing a comment. If a thread turns, turning comments off ends it.
Note: Comments are visible to the whole audience, not just the club. Anything about an individual child belongs in a direct message.
