Operator oversight of messages
What an operator can review, and the rules around it.

Why it exists
Adults are messaging in a space where children are the subject. A club that runs safeguarding needs to be able to look when there is cause, and being able to look is part of what makes a club safe.
Using it responsibly
- Look when there is a reason: a complaint, a safeguarding concern, a dispute you have been asked to resolve
- Do not browse it out of curiosity
- Tell your coaches and families in your club policy that oversight exists. Disclosed oversight is legitimate; discovered oversight is a breach of trust
- Record why you looked
What it is not
It is not a way to read parents' conversations with each other outside your teams, and it is not a search tool over unrelated clubs.
Note: Under Quebec privacy law you must be able to justify access to personal information. "It was available" is not a justification; "a parent raised a safeguarding concern on this date" is.
