Parental consent

What parents approve, when, and what happens if they say no.

Gestionnaires

Some features publish information about a child beyond the club. Those are opt-in, per child, and granted by the parent.

The consents
  • Celebration Wall — "Your child's achievements will be shown on a public wall visible to anyone with the program link."
  • AI Translation — "Posts mentioning your child can be machine-translated by other parents. No additional data is transmitted."
How a parent grants them

In the app, under the child's privacy settings. Each consent is explained in plain language before it is granted, and each is revocable at any time.

What happens without consent

The feature is simply off for that child. Achievements still appear in the club feed for enrolled families; they do not go public. Nothing breaks, and no one is told the parent declined.

Revoking

Immediate. Revoking Celebration Wall consent removes that child's existing posts from the public wall.

Note: You cannot grant consent on a family's behalf, and you should not ask a parent to grant it in front of other parents. Consent given under social pressure is not freely given.
