When a family asks to be deleted

The right to erasure, and what it actually removes.

Gestionnaires
How it is requested

The family submits it in the app under Data & Privacy › Request Account Deletion. They must type DELETE to confirm, after a warning that deletion is permanent and irreversible.

What happens

The request enters the compliance queue and is processed within 30 days. Personal data is removed or anonymised across the platform — profile, enrollments, points, attendance, consents, messages. They are signed out as soon as it is processed and receive a confirmation email.

What survives

Aggregate and anonymised records that no longer identify anyone. A session that had eleven athletes present still had eleven; it just no longer names them.

What you should do
  • Do not try to talk them out of it. The right is not conditional on your agreement.
  • Do not keep a private copy in a spreadsheet. That defeats the deletion and is your club's breach, not the platform's.
  • Remove them from your own external lists — mailing lists, group chats, shared drives.
Note: Deletion is irreversible. A family who deletes and returns next season starts fresh; their previous points and levels are gone.
