Pending vs. active roster members
What the Pending badge means and how a member becomes active.
OperatorsA roster row is in one of two states.
Pending
Either an invitation has been sent and not yet accepted, or an athlete was added by the club and no parent account is linked yet. Pending members:
- appear on your roster so your counts are right
- receive nothing — no notifications, no feed, no chat
- do not consume plan seats in the way an active member does
Active
The parent has an account and has joined the team, or the athlete's guardian link is in place. Active members get the feed, the schedule, notifications and chat.
Moving a row from pending to active
- Invited parent, not signed up — resend or ask them to check spam
- Parent signed up but did not join — give them the team access code
- Athlete added by the club, no guardian — invite the parent to that team
Tip: A roster that is mostly pending is the single most common reason a club thinks "nobody is using the app". Clear the pending rows before you conclude anything else.
