Pinning a post
Hold something at the top of the feed.
OperatorsOpen the post's menu and choose Pin to top. It shows a Pinned badge and sits above everything else. Unpin puts it back in chronological order.
What is worth pinning
- Registration deadlines
- Season schedule or venue directions
- A tournament weekend's logistics
- Anything a parent will look for twice
Rules of thumb
- One pin at a time. Two pins mean neither is the important one.
- Unpin when it expires. A pinned post about an October deadline still sitting there in December teaches families that the top of the feed is stale.
- Pinning is not notifying. It changes position, not delivery. Parents who already scrolled past will not be re-alerted.
Tip: Put unpinning in the same calendar reminder as the deadline itself. Nobody remembers otherwise.
