Photos or videos will not upload

Check the limits first

• Six photos per post, maximum
• One video, up to 1 minute 30 seconds
• Extremely large images — beyond about 30 megapixels — are rejected. Phone photos are well under this.

Then the connection

Video is compressed on the device and then uploaded. On a weak venue wifi this takes a while, and closing the app cancels it. Wait for "Compressing video…" to finish, and stay on the screen.

Then permissions

If the photo picker is empty, the app has no photo library permission. Grant it in the device settings.

Practical workarounds

• Trim long video in your phone's own editor first; it uploads faster and looks better
• Post photos now, video later, rather than blocking one on the other
• On a bad connection, save the post until you are somewhere better
