How can we help?

Recognising several athletes

Get through a squad without it eating your evening.

Coaches

Awarding is one athlete at a time, by design — a point that names a child is worth something and a point given to everyone is not. But you can move quickly.

A workable routine
  1. Pick three or four athletes at the end of the session, not the whole squad.
  2. Award each in the moment, with a one-line note.
  3. Next session, pick different ones.
  4. Use the Recognition Tracker to see who you have not reached.

Over a month, everyone gets recognised, and each award means something because it was not automatic.

Whole-squad recognition

For something the entire team did, post a shoutout to the feed instead. See Posting a shoutout.

Tip: Three athletes per session, chosen with the tracker open, covers a squad of eighteen every fortnight. That is a sustainable rhythm; "everyone every week" is not.
