The coach onboarding checklist
The four-task Get Started card new coaches see, and what it teaches.
CoachesThe first time a coach opens the app, their dashboard shows a Get Started card with four tasks and a progress counter.
The four tasks
- Complete your coach profile — level or rank, years of experience, languages spoken. Parents see this on the club page, and it is what makes a coach look like a person rather than a name.
- View roster — opens the team so the coach sees who they are responsible for.
- Award your first point — the single habit that makes the whole platform work for families.
- Post your first announcement — proves the feed reaches parents.
Tooltips point at the right button for the first two actions, then stop.
Skipping it
A coach can dismiss the checklist with Skip. The actions do not disappear — they stay in Quick Actions on the coach dashboard.
Tip: As an operator, ask new coaches to finish the checklist in their first week. Clubs where coaches award points in week one keep far more families through the season.
