Why a child can have only two guardians
The maximum-two-guardian rule and how to work with it.
GestionnairesEach athlete profile supports at most two parents or guardians. Attempting a third returns "This child already has 2 parents/guardians — the maximum allowed."
Why the limit exists
Guardians get full access to a child's record: schedule, points, badges, feed and chat. Two is the number that covers separated households while keeping the access list something a club can actually audit. An unlimited list would make "who can see this child's data?" unanswerable, which is a problem under Quebec privacy law rather than a design preference.
Working within it
- The parent who created the profile invites the second guardian from their own account
- To swap a guardian, the existing one is removed first, then a new invitation is sent
- Grandparents and nannies do not need accounts to bring a child to a session
What you can do as the club
You cannot add or remove guardians on a family's behalf — that link belongs to the parent. Point them at 2nd Parent / Guardian in their profile.
